Artist Profile

Jean Wilhelm was born in Chicago, Illinois, moved to Columbus, Ohio in the '80s and came to Atlanta in 1995.

Jean’s passion for art began as a child. During her senior year in high school she won
Third Prize in a National Poster Art contest.

Jean’s career as a professional custom kitchen and bath designer and draftsman kept her out of the fine art field for several years, yet many of her hand drawn custom designs were of themselves pieces of art.

In the 1980’s Jean decided to devote as much time as possible creating her unique works of fine contemporary art. New techniques and ideas are constantly on trial in an effort to attain a higher level of esthetic excellence in the abstract realm.

Current works are contemporary mixed media, mostly acrylic, often with an architectural flare.

Many of Jean’s works have been purchased for private and corporate collections.

Jean’s courses of studies include art, architecture, interior design and psychology.
